How to hire an influencer: the process and every cost at a glance

You hire an influencer by choosing a package at a fixed price or requesting an individual quote, sending your brief and paying once the creator accepts. The cost is made up of the creator’s price, possible surcharges for usage rights, the service fee and VAT.

Hiring an influencer in five steps

The process is the same for almost every collaboration. You choose a creator and a package or describe what you need. You send a request with a brief. The creator accepts, declines or makes an offer. After acceptance, payment is made, then the creator produces and delivers. Finally, you review the delivery and approve it. If you know this process, you plan more realistically: between request and publication there is response time, production, coordination and, with products, shipping too. That time belongs in the campaign plan, not in the last week.

What it costs to hire an influencer

The creator’s fee is the biggest item. Surcharges can come on top if you want to use the material beyond the creator’s own channel, for example for paid ads, or if you agree on category exclusivity. If you send a product, the product value and shipping count too. If you plan ads through the creator’s account, your own ad budget comes on top, which you pay directly to the platform in question. And finally, depending on the route, there are fees: with an agency its advice, with a marketplace a service fee. If you only budget for the fee, your numbers will be too tight.

How the amount is made up on creatordeal

The price on the package is the net amount for the creator’s work. Usage rights beyond organic use appear as separate line items with their own surcharge in the booking. On top of that comes creatordeal’s service fee, and on both together VAT based on your billing address. You see every line individually in the cart and once more before paying. The current rates are on the pricing page. Searching, filtering and requesting cost nothing — a booking only costs something once a creator has accepted.

When you pay and when the creator gets paid

Payment is made after acceptance and before the creator starts. Depending on the creator, it is payment in advance, sometimes a deposit with the rest due on acceptance of the delivery; you see the payment terms before paying. The money is then protected with creatordeal until you approve the delivery or the review period expires. For posts that get published, you first review a preview, then the link to the finished post. If a creator declines or a request expires, you get the full amount back as credit — immediately and free of charge. On request, we refund to your payment method; for businesses paying by card, we deduct payment costs at the rate stated in the terms and conditions. For consumers and for bank transfers, the refund is free.

Fixed price or individual quote

For many standard deliverables, a package is enough: you see the price, add it to the cart and send the request. If you need something no package covers — several formats, a special location, a longer term — you request an individual quote. The creator then names their price, and they can answer your proposal with a counteroffer. Several packages from different creators can go into one request and be grouped into a campaign. Only the packages of creators who accepted are paid for.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Key answers at a glance. Everything else is in the guides and in the FAQ.

How much does it cost to hire an influencer?

That depends on the creator, the format and the usage rights you want. On creatordeal the net price is on every package; service fee and VAT are shown separately before you pay.

How does an influencer booking work?

A request with a brief, the creator’s acceptance or quote, payment, production and delivery, then your approval. The creator only gets paid out after your approval or once the review period expires.

Do I have to pay in advance?

Yes, after acceptance and before the creator starts. Some creators offer a deposit with the rest due on acceptance of the delivery. The money stays protected with creatordeal until you approve or the review period expires.

Can I hire influencers without an agency?

Yes. On a marketplace you choose yourself, brief directly and book at the listed price. An agency can support you on top of that, but it is not necessary.

What happens if the influencer does not deliver?

You report the problem on the booking. The payout is put on hold, both sides give their account, and creatordeal decides on a revision or a refund.

See prices before you request

Every package shows its net price — requesting is free, and you only pay after the creator accepts.
