Creator payout and KYC identity verification
You’re paid as soon as the brand approves your delivery — via Stripe, by bank transfer or to PayPal, always in euros. Before that we check your identity once — after that every further payout runs without new documents.
Payout via Stripe, bank or PayPal
The brand pays creatordeal in advance. Once they approve your delivery, your payout is triggered. You choose the method once in the creator area: Stripe (in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada), bank transfer or PayPal. Payouts are always in euros. Whether a method has costs or a minimum amount is shown on the pricing page and in the creator agreement. If the brand doesn’t respond after your delivery, an acceptance period runs; after that the delivery counts as approved and the payout is triggered as well.
KYC: the identity verification before your first payout
Once, before your first payout, we want to know who you are: ID card or passport, proof of address and, for companies, proof of registration. You also choose whether you bill as a private individual or as a company. Only we see the documents; the payment providers used for the payout also run their own checks under their own rules. Once confirmed, the check applies permanently.
Tax number, VAT ID and small-business status
Your tax number is mandatory — without it we cannot produce a billing document or report to the tax office. You enter a VAT ID if you have one; we verify it automatically. Whether you need one depends on your tax status. Whether you bill under the small-business VAT exemption or are VAT-registered is something you set once in your settings. How you are classified is decided neither by you nor by us, but by your tax office — if in doubt, ask your tax adviser.
Credit note instead of your own invoice
You do not write an invoice to us. We settle under the self-billing procedure: creatordeal issues a credit note for every payout, showing your net amount, the commission and the payout amount. You expressly agree to this procedure when you register. The credit notes are available as PDFs in your creator area and go straight into your bookkeeping.
Frequently asked.
Key answers at a glance. Everything else is in the guides and in the FAQ.
When do I get my money as a creator?
After the brand’s approval. Until then the amount is held by creatordeal. If the approval never comes, the delivery counts as accepted once the approval period has passed and the payout runs anyway.
Which documents do I need for verification?
ID card or passport and proof of address, plus proof of registration for a company. On top of that your date of birth and your tax number with its country, and a VAT ID if you have one.
Do I have to write an invoice as a creator?
No. creatordeal issues the credit note for every payout. You do not have to produce anything yourself or send us anything.
What is deducted from my payout?
The commission under the creator agreement — it’s shown on every self-billing invoice. Depending on the payout method, costs may be added, for example with PayPal; which ones is shown on the pricing page and in the creator agreement. Open amounts, such as a product sample not returned, can be offset against it.
